A Monte Carlo simulation is a numerical method that uses random draws to perform calculations and complex problems. Today, it is widely used and plays a key part in various fields such as finance, economics, supply chain and even physics. Contrary to what many people think, you don’t need programming knowledge or a fancy software to start using the power of Monte Carlo Simulations in your forecasts. During this short workshop you will learn how to perform this method using a simple spreadsheet in Excel. We will go over how to do over 10,000 predictions and how to use predictive modelling to forecast the future. No prior experience needed but you should bring your laptop with Excel installed (any version) to follow the modelling!
