    6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This meetup will entail an indepth discussion and practical demo on the following key questions and topics relating to the often confused topic of Financial Modelling and Advanced Analytics.

After talking to many finance professionals and FP&A experts the level of understanding of the distinction between the two is still very low. From the principals to the technology and the skills are in many cases very different.

The discussion will cover the following:
1. Simple explanation of the similarities and differences of FM and AA
2. What is visual influence and how is it related to both?
3. What is modelling visualisation vs data visualisation?
4. How to converge a 3-way Excel model into PowerBI
5. How to integrate monte carlo simulation into PowerBI
6. A closer look at the embedded AI within PowerBI and the descriptive, diagnostic and predictive capabilities
7. Why its still important to use and understand both and how might one go about upskilling in this space.
