If you are planning to sit for the next FMI Level 1 Financial Modelling certification exam coming up on 19th October, you should be well on your way already with your preparation for this rigorous qualification!

Join us to hear from Head Proctor of the Sydney FMI Exam, Danielle Stein Fairhurst to hear some tips and tricks to help you prepare. On the day, candidates are given a case study with several years of historical financial statements. During the four-hour period, you are required to build a fully linked three-way integrated financial model in Excel forecasting over the next five years, comprising of P&L, cashflow, balance sheet, debt, depreciation and working capital schedules and scenario analysis.

Since the FMI’s inception in 2015, on average 40% of candidates pass the exam and achieve the designation of “Advanced Financial Modeller”. One of the main reasons that many fail is because they submit incomplete models because of lack of time. Danielle will take you through some methods for model layout and ways to save time on the setup to give you the best possible chance of completing the model and gaining the qualification.

You can find out more about the exam and register for it here (Earlybird closes on 15th Sept) https://fminstitute.com/
